Day 2 of 14 Days of Fasting & Soaking: Speak Lord Your Servant is Listening!

Updated: Aug 15, 2023

Sometimes in life we get overwhelmed, distracted and can lose focus from the voice of God. We find ourselves separated, alienated and deaf to the voice of God concerning our personal life.

Well during this time of fasting we will focus on realigning our spiritual selves with the spirit of God and refocus our vision.

“And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.”

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In one of our our scriptures today, we talked about how Samuel, who worked in the temple serving God had never heard his voice(word) and so when God was calling him, he ran to the priest Eli.

Sometimes we can be so focused on our own voice, the voice of our spouses, our children or our pastor that we never can hear the voice of God when he is speaking to us.

When Gods voice/ word is scarce it cause spiritual famine, spiritual blindness and death in the life of a believer.

Samuel was told by Eli, that when he heard his voice again to say, "Speak Lord, your servant hearth."

It's important to not just hear the word / Voice of the Lord but how we respond is important as well. Are you listening? Have you responded?

Prayer Points:

  1. Father remove ever distraction that will keep me from hearing and seeing your voice in my life.

  2. Lord open up my understanding that I may not just Hear your voice but that I may have understanding of what you are saying concerning "ME."
